Registrations for the World Masters Orienteering Championship in Girona opened only a month ago, and there are already orienteers from four continents and more than twenty countries. The organization’s goal to become the edition with more countries from around the world represented seems to have started well. At this point, we only need some participants from Africa to complete all the continents, because there are already participants from Europe, Asia, Oceania, North America and South America. But there are contacts with runners from these countries who seem to be signing up very soon.
On the other hand, efforts are continuing to obtain a presence in Girona of members of the Spanish-American community, and facilities have been offered to the national federations to participate in both the parallel congress and the WMOC races. It is expected in this sense that there will also be a good response.
At the moment there are registrants from Spain, Brazil, Serbia, France, Finland, Austria, Great Britain, Japan, Bulgaria, Denmark, Switzerland, Czech Republic, United States, Turkey, Italy, Estonia, Australia, New Zealand, Ukraine, Slovenia and Sweden.
